The hose might have ‘SANS 1086’ printed on it, but that doesn’t mean it actually meets the standard. It could be a cheap copy. When in doubt, take a photo of the hose and its markings. Send it to the manufacturer listed on the SANS 1086 permit provided to confirm whether it’s really theirs. You might be surprised how often that branding is used without permission.
